LSX into my 96 SS [PIC HEAVY]
I know this has been done many times before, but I figured what the hell. I am planning on shoving a LME built, GMPP LSX blocked, ATI F1a supercharged 427 into my 96 SS. Behind it will be a TR6060 retrofit transmission and behind that, a Ford 9 inch. The power goal is 900+ HP at the wheels.
Here is what I have done so far:
The beginning:
Hood removed for easy access:
Motor stripped down:
Removal:
Front suspension and steering taken out:
Parts collected so far to go back in:
Thanks for looking and I'll update as more progress is made.

Not really. I removed the rubber bushings and ball joints from my factory upper a-arms and sent them off with the front shock mounts to be cleaned up and powder coated. After speaking with Sam Strano, he talked me out of buying aftermarket upper a-arms due to aftermarket arms having incorrect geometry around the ball joints.
I did get a set of his front and rear hollow sway bars and end links in the mail, though. Other than that, I haven't moved forward with it much because I now have a pile of parts that have been removed from the car in my garage, taking up much needed space. I need to sell some of the old parts to make room before I can go ahead and take out the rear end and fuel system.
