Yep, you can find these on ebay as people sell them off of crate engines a lot

Great build. Looking to do this in my 72 c10. Have you determined what you need to mount the t56?

We will be building a transmission mount. It will be a simple C shaped design utilizing the OEM mount holes.
Just got to finish the steering rack mounts and engine is in.

We did manage to make a lot of progress on the subframe and steering rack mounts. Below you will see a picture of the rack mounted in the subframe with the steering rack moutn and brace seeting upside down on the mockup motor.

You will also see the steering rack mount complete and painted and the subframe about 90% complete. We still have to add a few reinforcement pieces to the subframe this week and then it will be painted and in the car.

All welding on the subframe is finished up. Need to clean it up and shoot it with some paint so I can put it in the car. Once the rack is back in, we are going to tow it to my new shop up and hopefully drop the motor in and get started on the trans mount.

Will post some pics once subframe is painted

The subframe is all painted and I got it in the car so that we can hook up the steering to tow the car to the new shop. Need to add one more piece on the passenger side mount of the rack to balance it out but it is pretty much done. Since the rack was dropped the linkage no longer reaches and you will see in the pic below how much it will need to be extended.

Dropped the mockup engine with oil pan and headers into the car. Oil pan fits beautifully and has great access. We used some premade headers and the passenger side fits great. The drivers side will need to be changed out in order to clear the steering column.

We made some more progress on the Legacy. We towed it over to the new shop and continued work on it. We got the engine and transmission in the car and with the way the subframe is designed we were able to put them inside the car as one piece. We clearanced the tunner a little bit and built the rear mount. Next step is to clearance a few more sections of the tunnel where we might have rubbing and build the shifter. You can also see the ride height with the motor and trans in the car. This is on Tein H-Tech springs

We made some progress on the rear differential yesterday. The unit that I am using is a R200 VLSD 3.69 Ratio from an Infiniti Q45. We measured and cut the mounts yesterday and tacked them in place. The diff sits very nicely in the car and the axles line up. We are now waiting on bushings and some other hardware to complete the setup. We will then add the bracing and weld it completely. This setup will run Infiini J30 axles and hubs and 300ZX Wheel Bearings. This will change the lug pattern to 5x114.3 as well. More details to follow once completed.
