Default autokraft oil pan and silverado oil stick/tube

Im using the autokraft pan with a silverado dipstick/tube. I know I put 5 1/2 quarts oil what autokraft says the pan holds and oil mark on dipstick tip only. For those using this combo where does your dipstick mark oil level? Thanks

I'm using an F-body dipstick & tube that they say to use and 5.5 quarts barely registers. I usually end up running 6-6.5 quarts.

You havent had issues running the 6-6.5 quarts of oil? The silverado dipstick barely registers also.

I'm running the autokraft and truck dipstick too and I use the dip stick to tell me when its full.

Here is my rationale:

When switching pans all you are really switching is the sump...the dipstick is made to tell you when the pan is full up to the proper level. Whether the pan has a 12qt sump or 2, full is still full, above that is where you may run into issues.

Maybe the 5.5qts autokraft recommends does not include the filter volume?

I seem to remember using more than a 5qt jug...

No issues running 6-6.5 quarts.
Like the above post, I agree. The sump may be 5.5 quarts + filter + a lil extra.
