Default Autometer guage (TACH) inop

I have just finished my conversion to a LS3 and T56 tranny into my 67 camaro.
The wire harness is a prt# 19258267 - GMPP LS376/480 Controller Kit.

All the other guages seem to work. but the tach does not. we have tried using the diagrams from Chevy performance but it still does not work.

Does anyone have anyone that can lead me in the right direction to fixing this issue?

thanks,

I'm using the gmpp harness on the ls7, autometer tach set for 4 cyl, and a step up resistor but if I recall correct not the one listed in the gmpp instructions. I'll have to check the resistance, I got it off this site.
