Default New at this site need help with engine build

Well I purchased a 80 Camaro rolling chassis and have decided to do a lq4 build. I'm buying a written off pickup truck as donor. I'm going to bore engine 30 over, ls3 heads, 11.5:1 - 12:1 comp, fast 102 intake, and plan on doing all internals. I'm just stuck on hat to use for best bang for buck. Like I said I'm new here and would love to get a good feeling from this web site! Thanks

Why such high compression? What are your plans what transmission are your running? Are you on a budget? Lq4 with ls3 heads and intake good custom cam and good tune should get you close

I have 110 fuel available and weekend car, and track the odd time. I'm doing a 4l80E built of course, budget around 7000, just stuck on internals and is tuning a must? Lol like I said I'm new at engine building I work at a shop but we don't do a whole lot performance stuff

Tuning is a must a 4l80 is a very strong trans but I believe they rob a lot of power. Just cause u have the 110 octane doesn't mean you have to use you can easily reach 500 rwhp with good old 92 my friend
