Cammed LS1/T56 into a '98 240sx swap *PICS/VID*
First off it's not my car, but a good friend of mine. I convinced him last year that he needed to stop pouring money into the POS 4-banger turbo and throw an LS1 into it. Finally, he took my advise and a few months ago we started ordering parts for it. I don't have a list of everything, but I can give you a basic list.
LS1/T56 out of a '01 SS. Had a complete donor car.
He bought a good swap kit from somewhere online, included things like the motor mounts, transmission cross member, fuel components, radiator, e-fans, driveshaft etc.
We are using a friends shop, he also is good at wiring, so he did the wiring harness himself.
Competition Clutch
Torquer v2 Cam from TSP, plus springs/pushrods/lifters
Oval E-cut outs
Bunch of little things like a short throw, battery relocation, speed bleeder, etc.
I only have a few pictures at the time, taken from my phone. One of the shop owners friends was taking ones with a good camera, I just have to get my hands on it.
So far we have the engine and tranny mounted up, drive shaft it, accessories installed, as well at the radiator and fans in. Wiring harness IS completely wired, just not finished up and tucked away all pretty. Basically just doing all the little crap right now.
Thought I'd share it with y'all, this thing should haul some *** when finished.
Questions just ask.
So glad he's doing the wiring, I hate messing with it. Just looking at the diagrams gives me a headache. This is the shop owner Glenn.

It's going the exhaust shop today. I have to do some things with my vette this morning then I'm headed out there. Still need to build up an intake for it, should be easy. We are throwing 350Z brakes and slotted rotors on it later after the exhaust, but the brakes were disassembled for inspection and we had them powdercoated, so I have to try and put them back to get. Crap.

Exhaust is in and looks absolutely fantastic. I have pictures, will post tomorrow. Cut out's are also installed. Car is basically all buttoned up for the most part, few little things. Run and drives good EXCEPT for the idle. Set it where it should be, dies, bring it up a tad, idles way too high. We are going back at it in the morning.

I'll get the walk around later today, it's been raining the last couple of days. Here's pics of the exhaust build and a few of the engine most of the way buttoned up. The air intake is very temporary just so y'all know. The wiring will be getting tucked better and hidden more.
