Default Rockland LT1 to LS1 t-56 kit

I'm becoming more serious about dropping the LT1 out of my Camaro and going LS. I read an article in GM High Tech about a year ago mentioning the conversion kit Rockland sells. Has anyone used this? I'd like to be able to keep my trans back initially. I've read really good and really bad about them. Any other options on keeping the T-56?

Really not that hard to buy the ls1 bellhousing, midplate, input shaft, hydraulics and clutch and swap them over. Need to check the bearing preload on the input shaft. I am willing to bet that RSG simply supplies those parts in a box with intstructions and a markup. There are several threads in the Manual trans forum discussing the parts you need to convert your tranny over. You will likely find that you are close to the price of a complete ls1 t56 after you are done, and it makes more sense $ wise to sell your trans and buy a complete ls1 trans.
