k5 5.3 swap hey guys. I've got a 2004 5.3 that's in an 88 suburban currently, which is getting swapped again into an 85 k5. I've done a couple 5.3 swaps, but both were 2 wheel drive.
I've found that 90 and 91 were electric speedometer models, which I knew because I swapped instrument clusters when I did the suburban. i'm having trouble remembering the pulse per mile that the VSS from the 90 transfer case puts out and what PPM the 2004 PCM needs. this is my question.
my local transmission shop quoted me $100 to put the 4x4 output shaft in my 2004 4l60e, which I thought was a helluva bargain. i'm hoping to put the NP241 behind the 4l60e and reuse the existing 85 driveshafts from the NP 208 transfer case.
