Setting transmission angle in fox. 4l80e
Curious ive seen a few post saying you want 1 degree and then some saying you want 0 degrees. If i level the car lets say taking my level readings off the floor seem/ rocker. How far should i be pushing the tail up? 1 degree, 0, ??

tranny angle
usually the trans tailshaft is down 1-3 degrees and the rearend is up 1-3 degrees. The inland empire drive shaft site has a real good write up on setting the angles properly.

I carefully measured the angle of the 2.3L which came out of my fox prior to pulling it.
It tilted back at just under 3 degrees. It was so close to 3 degrees I just wrote down 3 degrees. I measured it with the car sitting on level ground (or as close as I could get, concrete garage floor). I used both an angle finder and then checked it with some trigonometry.
I then took a relative measurement from the top of the frame rails just in front of the strut towers so I can ensure the LS is at the correct angle relative to the chassis once the new engine and transmission weight is set on the k member.
I think if it's within a couple degrees of the rear end pinion, you will be ok.

PopNWood has it right. Usually the motor is a - degree and the pinion angle is + about the same amount. Mine is set at engine= -2* and pinion is +2* and I have zero vibration issues.

Thanks for the follow up fellas, I also found this. 3degrees seems to be the mark to aim for.
I have a post over on another site asking this and i was given this link
