6.0 lq4 swap question I have a 1998 trans am and I have a 2001 lq4 waiting to have some things done to it and be dropped in. My question is, if I'm dropping it in a car what would the best cam be? I want to be able to put the cam in and tune it but I don't want to have to get a stall converter. In other words what is the biggest cam I can get that would only require a tune? I'm p&p'ing the heads aswell I'm unsure if that will affect the size cam I'm able to put in

The only reason you would need your heads ported and polished is to throw a big cam at it. If you are going to stay with a more mild cam due to stall converter reasons the P&P may be a waste of money......the stock heads may handle the cam...you really need to pick a cam before you P&P your heads..
