68 camaro ls swap need help!!
Hey guys looking for some help on my new project. I have a 68 camaro it was originally a v6 car and someone put a v8 in it with a 3 speed manual. I recently purchased a motor/transmisson/harness and PCM out of a 99 camaro z28. I've read online for hours and I am confused on some things. Some people say use these mounts or those mounts with modified oil pans and unmodified oil pans. I am gonna stick with the manual steering and would like to use long tube headers. Summit racing offers a kit for $1200 with a oil pan headers, mounting plates and a crossmember. Has anyone used this kit? Need some advice from some guys who have been down this road please!

I went with a different mount kit. I would def suggest using headers from whoever you get your mounts from because they will guarantee them to fit with the stering box. I am waiting on my headers to come in. 1200$ doesn't seem like a bad price for what you're getting.

68 camaro V6 car??? Anyway, Hooker is coming out with a new line of products designed for the 1st gen Camaro.....Will be released at SEMA in early Nov.
Read the stickly about Oil Pans in this section....towards the end it mentions the new hooker items. There are several other threads about it also in this section.
