Another 71 turbo chevelle swap
Ok so its time to start buying parts for my swap and I just wanted a bit of feed back on the decisions I'm going with.
So first off I will give you the setup I will be running. Its a 2003 6.0 4l80e truck motor that I have most all parts out of, including harness, tcm with drive by wire pedal.
It also came with a T76 truck turbo kit that has a factory manifold on driver side and log on passenger. Im hoping to make the kit fit with minimal modification
Parts list:
Dirty Dingo: slide mounts
Holley oil pan: hoping the new revised version that is suppossed to be released soon.
Crossmember: going to try using the factory one and rewelded mount.
Wiring: not to sure where to send it but I will not be doing it so suggestions?
Pulley: smaller ford version for power steering
90* tranny lines: Left coast 32
After all the research I've done seems like this has been working for people. I really dont want to have to cut the trans tunnel, with the new Holley oil pan they take care of the clearance issues for the tie rods. I'm thinking I can set the motor forward to clear for the bigger tranny. Any thoughts or feedback would be great. Anything I'm Forgetting?
I will update with some pics of the current setup coming out of the chevelle and the new one in the garage soon.
