73 impala 5.3 Gen IV carb'd Hey guys. Just picked up a gen IV 5.3 for my impala. I'm lookin for lots of ponies on a budget build. I'm always hearing about it, and I just jumped on board!! What would you build? Keep in mind this is a weekend car, not dd. I'm leaning towards carb+victor+cam+headwork. Thx guys!!!

Welcome to LS1Tech!
Now before we go any further:
450hp at the crank can be obtained with a stout 5.3. OR if you want to get real creative, a lot of guys are throwing boost at the 5.3 or 4.8 and making big power on a small budget. Either way with an LS you can't go wrong!
