Don't you know you cant say stuff like BOMB, ALLAH, or PRESIDENT on the internet in the same conversation, especially if you toss in the word BORDER!! The fbi, cia, usa, espn, cnn, and 58 thousand others will be at your door wanting to know why you are disguising a bomb to look like a Scrambler?? Hell, even TELEMUNDO would show up!! HAHAHAHAH

We will put it on a scanner tonight and have a look at the freeze frame data and post pics if we cant find anything major wrong and see if anyone else can spot some issues.

I texted LT1swap.com owner to see if he has one. Maybe he will hop on here and reply back about that.
I have the link to his drive by wire cruise hook up, that might help??? MAYBE??

Guys,
as I mentioned earlier, check your MAP sensor and wiring. The PCM uses the MAP and MAF to determine how much idle air is needed. From what you are describing it sounds like the PCM is seeing a false reading and closing the throttle to meter off the idle air. Since there is not too much idle air, it is causing the engine to die.
I would not believe it has anything to do with the throttle body wiring since it actuates at start up and then closes off.

checked maf pinouts and tb pinouts all passed, 5v ref signals all present, all 12 volt powers there, continuity tests pass..
Bill,
I dont think its a throttle body issue I think its an issue with the actual commanded thorttle pos. on startup and idle, I wish i had efilive to change and modify the pcm values.

A thought
When the motor was FIRST started, the manifold plug was not in, meaning air available through hole and not MAF, maybe the computer has adjusted the throttlebody to compensate. We've had the battery disconnected and reconnected a bunch of times to try to get the computer to re-learn, but nothing. Is there a possibilty? I have read a bunch of different ways to put the computer in re-learn such as
-turn the key in the on position for 10 minutes, then off and back on for ten minutes, then off and back on for another ten minutes
OR
-disconnect battery terminals for 10 minutes
OR
-disconnect battery terminals and touch them together
Any ideas?

just came home with a fuel pressure tester.
reads 54 psi.... from what I have read, these motors need 58? will 4 psi make it or break it????
oh yeah,, and it also threw a crank position sensor code, first time I,ve seen that, erased it, didnt come back
