Default Deleting stock ecm, keeping airbags?

Hello fellas, I'm swapping a 6.0l lq4 with Holley Dominator efi. I started deleting wiring today and want to keep the airbags active, is this possible if I delete the stock mustang ecm?

What year mustang?

I wasn't too warm and fuzzy about the prospect of the first gen airbag (read BOMB) in my 1992 mustang going off in my face.

It's a 91. I separated the crash sensor wiring in the engine bay, but have yet to go in the car.

The airbag system is seperate from the engine ecm. The airbag control module is a blue box under the heater controls. Get a factory Ford wiring diagram. They show stuff by component.

If it is separate than its just a matter of separating the airbag wiring from the main harness.
