95 V6 Camaro to 5.3L
Here's my Camaro. 3.4L 5 spd. with T-tops. Bought it 2 years ago for $600. Didn't look like this when I bought it. I did a bunch of bodywork, patch up the floors, overhauled the suspension and brakes and painted it in my garage.
I wasn't planning on a engine swap, but got a good deal on a complete 2003 5.3L and 4L60E trans for $500. Only 90,000km. I've since spent the last year collecting parts needed to drop this into the car. I lucked out and found a 99 trans-am roller. It was pretty well stripped except for the k-member with steering rack, brakes, rear-end and the gas tank.
Most of the major parts I needed all for 300 bucks.
I did the wiring harness myself with the info over at LT1swap website. I also sent the PCM to Brendan at LT1swap to get it tuned. He did a great job, fast turn around.
I kept the truck crank pulley and going with 2010 camaro waterpump. I also found out that the LS7 belt tensioner lines up perfectly with the belt line, and is less than half the price than the camaro tensioner. I made a custom alt. bracket and spaced it out to line up. I'll be using the f-body PS pump, but have to make some spacers for it to line up.
Just waiting on f-body oil pan kit and it will be ready to drop in.
