Default Donor engine?

Just picked up a donor engine out of a 2000 Z71, it is a 5.3. I got the entire engine, harness, computer and all accessories. This is my first LS engine, is there anything "special" I need to do.

It is going to have a 350 turbo transmission, I already got the converter adapter.

How hard is it too modify the stock computer, harness to work in my vehicle? Will it need to be tuned if I don't change cam?

Thanks,John

The harness is easy to modify if you're not afraid of wires. Lt1swap.com has tons of great info.

The computer will need a VATS delete and emissions delete before it can be started. Tuning won't be needed if its staying stock. I believe you'll want a manual transmission flash to go with the Turbo 350.
