UART, GMLAN, Class 2 serial data?
I am in the process of updating to an E40 PCM on my LQ4, 4L60E, originally equipped with what I believe was a 411/Blue Green PCM.
I have the PCM, T42 TCM and the matching pedal assembly. I have traced and identified all of the circuits that interchange.
I am attempting to use the LQ4 DBW throttle body if possible. Most circuits follow correctly.
My question is in regard to the UART, GMLAN and Class2 serial data circuits. Can anyone give me a quick overview of these circuits?
I need to identify whether or not these are input or output. Can I , or should I gang together to go to the throttle body and TCM?
The circuits in question are:
PCM
2500 High Speed GMLAN bus +
2501 High Speed GMLAN bus -
TCM
6105 High Speed GMALN bus -
6106 High Speed GMLAN bus +
TBI
800 UART
1061 UART
I appreciate your help and input.

This will get you functional for tuning, driving and shifting.
No need for the UART data lines.
Connect CAN + together on PCM and TCM then to OBD2 port pin 6
Connect CAN (-) together on PCM and TCM then to OBD2 port pin 14
Per this diagram.
