I pulled a junkyard 5.3 L59 with the intent of putting it into my 67' Firebird but am on the fence about the project now. The Firebird 350 was using a lot of oil which I thought was being caused by blowby but I ended up finding a couple of hard to find oil leaks. Now the swap doesn't seem worth the hassle so I'm thinking of selling the 5.3. I have the engine on a stand with everything running using a stock harness that I modified myself and the computer has already been flashed for stand alone operation. Given everything I have and the fact that it's a turn key engine, what should I expect to get for it if I were to sell it?

A lot of variables come into play with questions like this. First off, how many miles are on it? Your location will also be a factor, as some places they're harder to find than in others.

It came out of a wrecked 2002 Suburban so I wasn't able to get the mileage when I was pulling the motor but the interior was in great shape. I did remove the heads to inspect and the cylinders were ridge free. I'm located in Georgia.
