Default 1995 240sx lm7 project

Im new to ls1tech but definitely not the automotive industry. I started this project a few months ago and figured I should document it somehow.

Anyway, the chassis is a 1995 s14 240sx. Its ugly as hell and I dont care. On the chassis side, I've upgraded the brakes to 300zx calipers with drilled and slotted rotors, and a j30 lsd.

The engine is an lm7 with 862 heads, typhoon intake with 96mm throttle body, lr4 pistons, and soon to come a texas speed torquer v2 cam with 114 lsa.

For the transmission I'll be converting an m12 out of a '01 corvette z06.

Just trolling a good friend. Can't wait to see it finished. Should make GREAT power for a 5.3 with the intake, TB, pistons, cam and headers.

Hope Brad doesn't mind me throwing up a pic

Cool project...but I gotta ask...

What is it with the Nissan guys and the bling bling gold? I see more gold parts on Nissans than on Liberace! LOL

It's actually a metallic orange, the pictures do make it look gold tho. Im not really sure why, I know a lot of aftermarket companies sell gold parts so maybe thats why? not really sure...

Whats up bud...nice build. Wondering what the final goal of the build is? Any more specs on what you plan to use for wiring, mounting, ecu/standalone etc?

I am still slowly working on my LM7 turbo-240 build. I was making strides and then decided to be a dumbass and convert to Kouki front so some cash went out the window.

In for more progress and GL with the build sir.

The final goal is to just to have a bad a$$ car to drive on the street, drag race a little and possibly time attack events later. Not drifting lol as for wiring im going to use the wiring specialties plug and play harness, I got a mount kit off of ebay that uses 240 mounts and custom brackets. And I'll be usuing a stock chevy ecu and have it tuned. For the drive shaft a stock f-body driveshaft will word with no modification and an adapter flange on the diff side.

Thought about slapping on a turbo or staying NA? Be careful with some of the ebay kits, I have used a few of them and most of them needed some additional welds and at times to be customized a bit. The WS harness is super nice....contact Yuri hes super helpful.

Im going to stay n/a for now, maybe some spray later, it all depends on how bad my traction issues will be. The ebay kit looks pretty good but I dont doubt that it'll need modifying. I'll probably upgrade to the sikky mounts later. The ws harness sounds awesome, so thank you for confirming the quality!

You should also check out the Holley/Hooker mounts which were used on the Horsepower TV 240sx-LS build. There is a local guy who installed them and they are super high quality as well.

Yeah no worries on the WS harness, its literally one if not the highest quality harness that isnt a fully custom harness.

As far as suspension whats you plan?

I'll have to check out the hooker mounts as well. Thank u.

suspension wise, ive been looking at coilovers, maybe isis or jsk's, or possibly just go with some cheap emusa's, I haven't decided yet. Im trying to keep this project reasonably priced and still finish it by july 4.
