LSx Windage tray questoin

Hey guys, Got the holley 301-2 pan for my swap but the windage tray wouldnt fit. We had to make the following cut to get clearance. Is it safe to do this or should I go another route?

Yes, it only uses a 3/4 tray. Like a F-Body tray.. you could just cut the two ends off.. don't think those two wing will really do too much good any way.
