I bought this to pop the 4.8 into.

1990 GT no motor or trans. Has 4.10s and griggs SBF. Also got a GT vert for some parts like the better ground effects. Both for $1000

Sorry for the shoddy pic. Will get more as the project starts to take off. A little on my 88 notch.I am not a purist by any means but it is an original notch 5.0 5spd and I have always wanted one since I was a kid. If it had been just a shell I wouldnt have a problem with it at all. I just don't have the heart to tear into a complete car like this.

I hope to part the vert out to make up some cash. The white GT has 4.10s and the vert has 3.55s. I plan on swapping the rears and selling the 4.10 rear.

The aftermarket supports this swap well enough now that unless you're a total hamfisted butcher that you don't have to make ANY perminate mods to a fox chassis to do this swap.

I can definitely appreciate not wanting to tear into a complete and original car, especially if there was nothing wrong with it. You got a great deal on the two rollers for $1k and now you're got your cake and you can eat it too!

The problem is (and take it from me) that after you drive one of these cars with an LS swap the old 5.slo will never feel adequate again and as a result will sit.

You probably will swap the notch after you see how easy it is and how much better they drive.

I thought about that. I guess only time will tell. I gotta say I am just happy to be working on a project again.
