Default Steel weld bung for LS3 MAF card

Does anyone produce a MAF bung like this but in steel?

I searched quick and could only find aluminum bungs. I have steel tube for my intake, and no equipment to weld aluminum.

Looking to cut down on couplers and reducers, and build a simpler intake system for my race truck. Elbow on TB, 4" pipe, right to the air filter.

Thanks for the help!

I just bent up some sheet metal, welded nuts on the inside, then welded it to the tube. Once the new section was made, I welded it to the old one so there is only 1 visible coupler.

Thanks, that doesn't look too hard. How did you make the square hole in the sheetmetal for the card to fit into? Did you use anything to seal it?

If you're ok with a plastic bung/adapter here's probably the easiest route

I measured the body of the sensor, drilled a hole the width of the slot at both ends. Then used a file to square the ends up to the needed length.

The sensor comes with a rubber gasket to seal it.
