5.3l with 4l60e moves with no throttle
Hello,
Finally got my swap running and notice a few odd things.
When I put the car into drive I basically do not have to give any throttle and the car begins to roll and almost drives up to 20mph without giving any throttle.
The car does seem to idle high around 900rpm. I am using PSI conversions PCM. 3:42 rear gear and I believe 2500 stall.
The car also shifts very quickly at normal city traffic acceleration, meaning 5mph its shifting then 10mph shifts again, then in 4th by 40mph.
any thoughts or ideas?
Thank you,
Aaron

Cable or DBW? Are you sure you do not have a vacuum leak? My 4L60E will shift into high by 40 mph only if I use very little throttle opening and there is virtually no load on the engine.

Cable Throttle body.
I have done the usual backyard mechanic thing and sprayed brake clean on the motor and the idle never changes... also get an intermediate IAC RPM higher than expected also.. have put multiple IAC valves on and still get the same code every so often.

Is the TB cracked at the IAC?
What TB are you using?
Does the throttle plate close all of the way? Or does it hang a bit open?
Does the pintle seat all of the way?
Will it ever come down to the programmed curb idle?
It sounds like this is one of those gremlins that will be something little and dumb by the time you get there.

I am using a TB I bought used off here which I believe it was from a 99 Camaro.
It does not seem to idle down to the 750 that PSI says the PCM is programmed to.
From what I recall the plate closed all the way and there is slack on my throttle cable to make sure that it does.
I will have to look to see if the IAC seats all the way in. I do not see any cracks in the TB.
