Default Coils not firing..Help

So I got my 74 c10 truck with a 5.3 going...almost. The coils for cylinders 2,4,6 and 8 are not firing. there's power going to them and they're all connected. My buddy said he checked and the other coils and all the injectors are working. He even checked the wiring and its all good. He says the pcm is not letting them fire. I just emailed Brendan from lt1swap to see if he has any idea about that. Any input from u guys is appreciated.

All cylinders on the same bank. Did you verify the common connector on that side? Not to sound silly, how did you verify they are not firing and not just not in proper sequence?

Both sides have a common ground wire. Make sure the ground wire connection on that bank is good. Maybe a temporary jumper to ground?

My buddy is the one working on it and also the one who did the harness...he said the driver in the pcm is preventing the coils from firing somehow.

Check to make sure the brown and black wires are grounded
make sure you have switched 12+ on the pink wire
be sure the mounting bracket has a good ground to the head, as the valve covers do not
always ground (Mounted in rubber)
