Default LS into a Studebaker

Hey guys, was talking to my friend who has an old Studebaker and wants to restore it, but have enough power to tow his trailer for business. So i suggested an LS1 and was wondering how hard would it be to fit one in? I know suspension and brakes have to be changed, but how much welding and cutting is needed? Any luck with a T56 fitting as well?

Thanks Guys

Check out Stu Cool... he has a lot of miles on his LS Studebaker, it's nicely done.
