Default Cold Air Intake for LT1 to LS swap???

I had put a LS motor in my 97 Z. They put a home made CAI on the car that I'm not happy with. It's just an elbow with a 4" tube (that they made oval with a K&N filter on the end. According to the dyno tuner the intake is robbing power from the motor. I heard, or read somewhere that a LS lid will fit under the LT hood, with a little trimming. Not sure what's my best choice. Looking for a little help from people that have already done this swap.
Thanks,
Rob
