Default How To: Modified Truck Accessories

This is gonna be a write up on how to modify your truck accessories and be able to run a car intake or a different radiator hose set up. Please note this setup is in a swapped s10, it will be on you too make sure it fits in whatever your engine is in.

Parts list

Step 1: Pull all of your accessories off of the engine and mount your new L99 water pump, Torque water pump bolts first pass 11 ft lbs and final pass 22 ft lbs. (Keep in mind your new water pump comes with new gaskets.)

Step 2: Whatever way you feel comfortable you need to cut the stock idler mount ear off of the truck accessories bracket Like so.

Step 3: Mount your accessory bracket on the engine and torque it if you feel the need too. Check clearance around the water pump too make sure you removed enough material.

Step 4: Mount your dirty dingo idler accessory relocation bracket, keep in mind the dirty dingo kit does not come with a new idler pulley so keep your old one or you will have to pick one up from the local parts store. Below is a photo to show you how it should look.

Step 5: Bolt up your Dayco belt tensioner part number 89337 and run yours gates belt part number K060988. It will route like this and you are good to go!

Hope this helps!
