Damn that thing was clean. If it came from the Northeast you'd be able to get into it by climbing through the floorboards. Cool build. I dig the factory steel wheels. They're refreshing compared to today's trends.

Yeah, got super lucky there. The body shop and media blasting place said it was one of the cleaner ones they've seen. There's a dent in the hood, the corner of both quarters need to be replaced, and there's a few stress fractures. But that's it.

Minimal body work is always nice!

Thanks!!

At this point we are going to keep it a solid green.

Kind of up in the air if we want to do the roof in white with a white stripe on the side, but it wouldn't go along with a lot of the trim this truck has.

Rear Disc Conversion kit from BJ's off road.

I probably could have pieced this one together to save some bread, but I was pressed for time.

The axles are done as well. The guy who went through them sold me some aluminum diff covers but I think I'm going to change them to something a little more subtle. Other than that they came out great!

Body is going back on very soon, unfortunately I spaced on getting some new shackles so those are on the way. Kind of at a stand still until then.

Body is on! Moving right along!

I cannot WAIT to get the driveline in this thing.

This diff cover probably isn't staying BTW, if you guys have any suggestions for tasteful looking ones. Feel free to give input.

Nice, i spent many an hour getting those beasts through smog with that boat anchor 360. that LS3 is gonna be real nice in there, torque for days in that beast. I was kinda in teh same boat with my olds custom cruiser. In the fam since new, needed a resto decided to do it all at once. But i kept mine bone stock lookin outside and inside with an LQ4 and 4l80e under the hood. Not many 80s B body wagons with wood left out there. And those grand wagoners have a following for sure. I worked on Arnolds (yeah, the terminator), he had one with a duramax in it, way too much in the engine compartment but a great driver

I pondered doing a diesel, but I know LS engines the best honestly.

And this looks way cleaner as far as purpose built trucks go.

Any links to the build thread on that duramax wagon?

No build pics...i saw it when I was working at another shop, had to do some minor things here and there to it...and it was built somewhere else.

Recommendation for a trans controller...compushift II. We use em here at work with some of the ls installs and they work real nice. There are a lot of options though for trans controllers. There is a good, controller that works really well also, supermatic I think it was. Simple plug and play for the most part

Cool swap. Why not look at the Holley Dominator ECU? It will do DBW and control the trans.
