Stand alone loom question, start signal?
Hi All.
I've mostly finished stripping the loom of all the unneeded bits and tidying up all the wiring. One thing I have noticed is that there is no obvious starter/cranking wire to let the PCM know when I'm trying to start the engine.
Is there meant to be one or does the PCM have some other smarts for it to figure out the engine is cranking over?
My fear is that it is sent from the BCM via the serial data wire.
The PCM and Loom are from a VY SS commodore 2002-04

I actually don't have the purple wire on mine anymore as I'm using a Nissan gearbox and starter, My gearbox and starter have their own loom with the starter solenoid wire in it.
As long as the PCM can tell when im attempting to starting from the CPS she will be fine
