5.3 in mitsubishi raider misfire HELP!! I have a 2008 mitsubishi raider with a 5.3. My problem is as I'm driving I will be giving it steady consistent acceleration and the truck will feel like it just drops to 4 cylinders and will putter, then if I give it 90% throttle the truck wakes up jumps back to all 8 and gets going. What's weird is it won't always do this. I can drive and it will be fine for 30 min then it will start acting up...last time I checked it wasn't throwing any codes. Any advice?!?!?

Check grounds. I am betting it has something to do with bank ignition. Check for damaged wiring or loose connectors.

the grounds are on top of block in back and one behind steering pump above oil pan rail. start with that. you can also make sure you have body to engine ground as well frame to engine and body. adding some wont hurt any thing.

Hey I recently purchased an 08 Raider 3.7V6 6spd Manual 2wd... I have been trying to find info on what all I would need in order to put a 5.3 crate in this truck and what possible drivetrain and other system changes or upgrades I would need. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
