Default electrical experts needed please

Ok I have a 1999 blazer with 5.3 swap with 4l60e. My problems are, the transmission is in limp mode third gear with manual second. Fuel and temp gauge not working with battery light, abs and security light. PRNDL indicator out. Ok now for the weird, I can unhook my battery for a few minutes and hook it back up and all the gauges work fine and no lights on until i turn it off then it's back to the same way same way. Wft is going on...I've checked power to all trans solenoids..I've replaced the ignition switch and nothing. Please help me out.

Have you forgotten about your grounds . Loose or no grounds can cause weird stuff like that to happen . I would check them all .

didnt say what wiring your using but any ground even on original truck wont hurt to be connected. as well as body grounds, pcm ground itself may be problem. It should be tied into harness somewhere. double/triple check all connectors are plugged in as well.

You need to make sure you have power to the trans connector. You disn't say what harness you're running. I believe the ipc is a serial data ipc. I had a buddy with an s10 using a current performance harness. I think we had to program the pcm for an 02 truck for the ipc and the a/c to work right.

I'm using a current performance harness. I fixed the gauge problem today. Now I've gotta see what's wrong with the trans. 3rd gear starts with manual 2nd and no codes set. I've checked power to trans and solenoids and ask are good.
