Default Any risk running the engine with no trans fluid

Not putting the trans in gear or anything but I figure it turning the input shaft. Will it burn up the input shaft seal if there is no fluid in the trans?

I wouldn't do it,lots of moving parts that need some lube.

The trans internals need lubrication and cooling from the fluid. I would wait.

Any idea how much fluid I can put in a t-56 before it runs out the tail shaft?

I believe it's just under 4 quarts of ATF to fill one.

Get a yoke and plug it up. T56 is the same size as TH350 or Powerglide.
