How much wiring do you grab when pulling a donor?

I pulled the fuse box, but I am going to build my own smaller fuse box holder
I also grabbed the air cleaner box from the donor truck, just in case I needed to prove it was a 5.3 versus 4.8

It depends on the donor vehicle. If it's a 2000-ish Silverado, just pop off the under hood fuse box cover on the driver side fender, pull the tabs aside and fold the box toward the engine, unbolt the bulkhead connector from the bottom and remove the engine harness. If it's drive by wire, use 10mm deep well socket to unbolt the pedal and TACC module. Get the TACC pedal to module jumper harness too.

If you are reworking the harness its self for standalone use or using a shop all you need is the Engine harness and fuse block honestly. Just follow the path of the harness and pull whatever wants to come with it. Several cars have chassis wiring going into same fuse block location and that can typically be cut off.
