Ls1 starter

Im putting a ls1 in a rx8 brand new starter with GM bolts.i heard that sometimes the short bolt brakes and takes out the corner of the block,I have not started mine yet!how common is this problem?

Use a torque wrench to tighten and you won't break anything. 37 lb/ft...
