Default F1a 5.3 swap 04 mustang questions

I'm in the middle of swapping my Mach 1 and I am having issues with my headers clearing. What are you all using. I have heard 5th gen Camaro manifold will work. I don't want to swap k members. Currently have a qa1. Please help

Have you looked into the kooks or dynatech LSx swap headers for the mustang?

I have kooks for a Foxbody right now. But with the qa1 K member and UPR swap mounts the engine sits to high and headers hit floor pans. Also driver side hits steering rack buckle for steering shaft

I would bend/extend/modify those headers to fit before settling on manifolds, personally.

the knuckle is easy, your column can be adjusted by dropping down a little. under your dash you will notice bolts that you can use shims to drop it down a little. I had to do the same thing. I used 2 washers on the front (closer to firewall) and 1 washer each stud closer to me. They sell shims also for the k member. I think there are 3 sizes? 1/4" 3/8" and 3/4" I think. UPR might have them. I originally used 1" spacer under my k member (use longer bolts) I wanted more under hood clearance.

UPR mounts, if you can fabricate a little, just get rid of the plate, its 3/8" thick. I just cut and extended that mount. Its just 1 tab that needs to be done and then the plates are no longer needed. I'm surprised they havent done it that way.
