Default Evap Emissions Purge Solenoid - Used on conversion?

Several questions, all related:

I'm installing a crate LS3/430 in a '61 Belair Btop.

Will I need to use the evap emissions purge solenoid, and if so, then get a charcoal cannister? Or can I discard it? If I can discard it, do I need to plug the hole it mounts in on the manifold?

It is in the way of my compressor mount from March. If I need to use it, is there a way to have that function relocated?

sounds like a cool project!
I discarded mine. L92 swap - Gen IV. L92 is all aluminum 6.2L, but truck version.
I believe it must be tuned out.

Thanks. In fact I just checked the info on the kit I got from PSI and it is already ruined it.

I'll get a rubber cap to cap off where it was on the intake manifold.
