Yes the o ring but I had to pull the engine out to get the pan off to make it seat right. If you scroll up to #22 you can see the difference in size of the o rings.

So for the sake of clarity in case someone else finds this thread.

You had the thinner o-ring, but for the pickup tube that you were using, the thicker one was required, correct?

And, for future clarity, I think the other piece was being absolutely certain that the pickup tube flange pulled up flush/flat with the mounting flange in the block.

Absolutely. Even with the right o ring it would not create pressur without the flange propery seated.

I hope so. It's been lowered, debadged, bigger rims. The LS has the hot cam and LS6 intake. I've had a lot of fun with it so far.

Brother and bro-in-law put about 360k on the old 4.3 in one ---- you couldn't kill it. Gutless but persistent.

I reinstalled the intake and reconnected all the wires this morning and started it,,,,,,,,,,,60lbs of oil pressure. Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

That's good news Cody! Just put my 5th tank of fuel in mine - coming up on the first 1000 miles. 179.5 miles on 8.7 gallons. 20.6 mpg. Not too shabby.
