Default Air intake tube for LS1

I need to make a set up for my air intake to hold my mass airflow sensor and to hold my air temperature sensor. I don't want to break the bank. I'm not looking for something expensive right now... just to get it moving. I wanted suggestions on homemade or reasonably priced ones that would work for my application in my 67 Camaro. Any ideas are appreciated.

You could probably buy a silicone 90 http://www.ebay.com/itm/282070604278...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and a filter http://www.ebay.com/itm/381493887051...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and a piece of PVC pipe. Scuff it and rattle can it black.

I made one for my Mustang. I ordered a piece of aluminum tubing off of EBay. Was like $25. 4" piping with a 45 degree bend. Ordered a 90 degree silicone elbow for the throttle body end and a 4" inlet filter for the other end.

I used a truck 85mm 5 wire MAF that has the IAT sensor built into it. Intake Hoses has 2 nice adapter hoses to go from 4" down to the MAF inlet and outlet sizes, check their site. They'll have everything you'll need except for maybe the filter, I don't remember.

Thanks for the posts. EastTnZ28.. so your saying use the 90° and then put the mass airflow and then a couplink and then a piece a straight pipe in the filter and drill a hole for the air temperature sensor..in that order?

TXFireman1972.. So you don't use that with that speed density? What is that?

You basically tune the motor off the other sensors. Cam, crank, temp, knock, etc.

ebay 4" dia x 24" aluminum tube with 45 in the middle; cut to fit on the air cleaner end; TIG in maf fitting; 90 degree silicone ell from Jegs. Rattle can with bed-liner black. Be sure to sand smooth where the clamps go to eliminate leaks that will set off a check engine light.....don't ask how I know.

I used 4" silicone 90's and couplers I got from siliconeintakes.com along with the spectre tube to mount the MAF and stopped by the guy that is going to do my exhaust (real soon I hope) and asked him if he had a piece of 4" exhaust pipe I could buy from him. He gave me a scrap about 20" long that was plenty for what I needed for free. Capped it off with an AEM filter.

Thanks for all the responses. Could anyone tell me where to mount the temperature air sensor? How close to the mass air flow?
