Would a C5vette transaxle and shortened tq tube work or not..
I am also considering runing front and mid engine plates as mounts...
http://www.ktsracing.com/motorplates.htm
I will support the engine and make a template from some 1/8 in plastic.... So I can get the pattern for the outer lazer cut on the plates to fit the chasis..
Probably do the same with the tranaxle and have them lazer cut mounts for that..

I hate to dig this out of the dark, but I've got a few questions.
Did the oil pan have to be modified to fit in the Miata? I'd like to use Tokico Illumina 5-way shocks and either Tokico or TEIN springs if I'm not going to be regretting it.
Did you use the Miata slave cylinder for the clutch or was a different one used?
What about the gauge cluster? Were you able to wire in the warning lights?

Wow, cool job! It would be nice if the engine bay of our E30-LS1 swap had so much room -- we can't fit even a 7" dia brake booster, so we have to engineer a remote HydroBoost -- Garret & Steve

Im interested in more info, anyone got a x-member done or pics of their modded one? Any kits yet? I am thinking about building a small drop top short wheel base v8 powered car for next years drift car. I originally was looking at sky/solstice platform but for the cost of a car I am going to be rubbing walls with a na or nb miata would be much better suited.
