I know that AJE have a k-member that will allow you to bolt a BBC/SBC into a '79-'04 Mustang, and they also have a crossmember that will make things easier. As far as headers go, I have no idea. I have been keeping my eyes out for the same thing, as I wouldn't mind swapping one of my BBCs into my '00 GT. Doesn't anybody else have any ideas?

Motor plates and Lemons headers will seal the deal. If you didn't already have the tubular stuff, you could use an Anthony Jones k-member that has pre-installed chevy mounts.

Note that the headers are $1175, but you gotta pay to play.

I agree, but then there are people like me who have a few nice Big Blocks laying around, but no GENIII stuff. It was a battle for me to put a LS1 back into my '98, instead of the nice 482 I have in the corner. But, I see no reason why I shouldn't drop it into my Mustang. Too bad there isn't a 'budget-minded' solution for a BBC/Mustang swap. I wonder if a good set of shortys could be made to work in a pinch?

I have heard of people buying 460 mustang swap headers and then cutting and welding BBC flanges onto them. If interested I have a used set of BBC mustang headers that slip together with 2" primaries and 3.5" collectors I may be talked into parting with. I would take about half of what a set of uncoated Lemon's headers run. The headers I have were used with a stock k member with welded chevy motor mounts, no motor plate and a th400 transmission.
