Truck accessory on a 2nd generation camaro
I am gathering parts to install a LQ4 / 4L80E in my 1977 Camaro. Most of the swaps I have seen pictures seem to be using the F-body accessory brackets. I am interested to see if anyone has used the Stock truck accessory brackets in a 2nd gen F-body. I have seen pictures of clearance problems with the low mount alternator from the f-body brackets, The truck brackets swap the location of the power steering and alternator. I would like to know if others have had sucess with this.
Thanks
Thanks

You will have hood clearance issues with the alternator. I can send you a drawing for the brackets I made. It lowers the alternator by 1.5". It is made from 1/2" aluminum plate and 1" aluminum tubing for a spacer. I have the drawings on my computer at work and won't be able to send them until Monday.

I have them in my 1st gen camaro and all that i had to do to get the alternator to clear was cut a small hole in the supports under the hood. the hole does not effect the structural integrety of the hood. Im guessing the second gen might be simmilar.
