Default in-tank fuel pump vs. external pump-66 chevyII

Hey guys figured I would search the pool for info before I try something that might not work. I have a 66 chevy II that I am doing an LS1 swap on. The donor engine is an 02 with a single feed and no return line. I was curious to see if anyone who mounted an in tank pump what they did for a fuel pressure regulator, and if I am just going the wrong way with the scheme of things and should go with an external pump, also I am planning a few performance mods so I would like to install a larger fuel pump at the time if I go with an in-tank setup. Thanks for all your help.

Get a '99-up Corvette fuel filter - the regulator is built in. I think you can pick one up for around $40 at most auto parts stores. HTH!

I just picked up the Vette regulator/filter and some misc fittings per the sticky at the top of the page.

I did an lt1 switch into my 67 Chevy II about 7 years ago and used the stock camaro tank and pump from the 95 donor car. I had the tank welded to relocate the filler neck and it tucked up nice in the original location. I had to adjust the strap lengths. I thought it would be hard to find someone to weld the tank since it had been used, but they steam cleaned it with soap and hot water and welded it right up. I left just to be safe. It worked very nice on the Nova. I believe the ls1 camaros probably have the same tank with maybe a different pump. Currently I am doing a 5.3 into a 69 camaro. I probably won't get off as cheap on this one.
