LS1 into a 97 T/A - A/C problem
Hey guys
I did this swap about four years ago, and have been running without a/c since. The lines are different at the evaporator, and I was wondering if the lines bolt up to the compressor? I am using the condensor from the 02 car. Anyone made their a/c work after this swap?

On my 71 Chevelle, I have just used a combination of using the LS1 Compressor's (In stock F-Body location) Manifold, some of the hard lines that come off of it. Using the ends of the hose/lines from the Chevelle and took them to a Tubing shop to have them make a new setup with new hoses and the donnated ends. I just used my old setup for the EVAP, Condensor and other controls.
Flush the system and vacumn down and charge with R134A or R12A. I worked ok.. I think I need to tweek it some, but I get 45-50 deg at highway speed and 50-57 at low speed traffic. Not the best, but it is cold or cool.

In my 94 Z28 I'm using the 2002 compressor and condenser from my donnor car. The LT1 style line will connect tot he top of the LS1 condensor but you will have to drill the hole bigger. Then I used the large hard line from the LT1 interior and removed the hose. Finally I had Napa reswedge the line to the large hose running to the LS1 compressor.
