98 F body harness, how to hook up my volt guage?
I am putting a ls1 with a 98 f body harness in my 67 c10 and was wondering how to hook up the factory volt guage in the truck. The harness only has the one red wire that goes to the alternator.
Thanks and I did do a search

Does your 67 have a voltage gauge or an ammeter? If it has an ammeter, it will stay hooked up to the original harness, as GM just measures the current through the feed wire to the battery. If you have a voltmeter, just leave it attached where it was, usually at the horn relay or on the harness splice.

I would think twice about using an ampmeter. I don`t think that your ampmeter is rated to handle a LS1 alternator. The LSx alternators are capable of putting out over 100 amps, and I am guessing that your ampmeter max`s out at 60 amps? Granted the chances of the LSx alternator having to put out over 60 amps to charge your battery are very slim, but it could happen.
If you do decide to stay with the ampmeter then it will hook up the same as it did with the old motor.
