Exclamation Putting 99-02 fuel pump in 95 Z28 ?s

I am looking at putting a newer fuel pump with regulator on my 95. Will the pumps do a straight swap over? I didnt know if they had the same number of wires going to them or what. I am wanting to get rid of the return style system is what I am going for so i only have to have 1 line running to the engine bay. Thanks in advance guys!

The best possible fuel system is one that has the regulator as close to the fuel rail as possible to avoid presure drop. So why would you want to do this?

walbro 255 will work fine with your car.
u can mount the c5 fpr, and run 1 line to a 98-02 fuel rail
the fitting should be the same for lt1 feed line to rail, it was on a 95
firebird i intalled a ls1 engine into. the lt1 fuel line snapped right in to a 98-02
ls1 fuel rail. using a c5 fpr and walbro pump

You don`t want to swap the fuel pump.....can o worms.

The 99-02 uses a plastic tank and the fuel pump/sending unit is not a bolt in for your tank. You could swap to a complete 99-02 tank.....but if you still have the 95 fuel gauge it will not hook up because GM changed the resistance of the sending unit.

The simplest solution would be to get the 99-03 vette FPR/filter and then use the single line LS1 fuel rail. The vette FPR/filter can be found for under $40 and you will be able to reuse your LT1 tank and lines.

run the line back to tank and remove from engine bay
the c5 fpr has a return line, use existing lt1 return line for the c5 fpr back to tank. the other line is connected to charcoal canister thing located behid gas fill door, leave it alone
the c5 fpr has 1 inlet and i out let line. pressure and return.
3rd line from tank is emiision/vent line

you could just ask for a fuel filter for a corvette..lol.

btw, you will need the quick connects to plumb this in.

im currently using the corvette filter also.. but on some of my other swaps, ive just put a regulator at the end underhood, retaining the stock feed and return.. then run one line from the regulator to the fuel rail

you do not, and NEVER have to swap to the OEM vette rails with a return...

i bought mine off the shelf at autozone, then took them to a local hydraulic shop that swagged them on there with some braided line, right to my factory hardlines.

end result is a hardline with a few inches of flexible line and quick connects.

if you can search my name in the conversions/hybrids section, i know i posted pics of mine.

ok, i searched and found a pic of mine...

in the upper right, is the end of my return that goes to my factory return for my car (91 fbody)

below that, is the factory line for my fuel feed.

as you can see both of these lines have flexible lines and quick connects swagged on the end where it connects to the new fuel filter.

in the middle, is a vette filter/regulator.

on the other end, is my stock feed line, with a quick connect fuel line brazed onto it.

your stuff will be similar.. not identical, but similar.
