Default LS1 Pricing question.

i think this is the best place to put this, since us conversion guys are the ones who look this stuff up.

whats the going fair rate for a LS1 drivetrain?
im parting my car out (dont ask here, this isnt a forsale thread.) and i dont want to rip people off, but i dont want to be screwed either.
a few years ago, i paid 4k for a very low mile LS1-T56 combo.... now its a 70k LS1-T56 combo that runs very strong, but needs a new clutch.... whats it really worth?

with the LS2s getting older and more plentiful, and such.. im sure its worth less.. but how much?

and this isnt an auction, so if you need one or something, all my parts are in the CLASSIFIDES section.... not here.

Are you talking the complete drop out with an uncut harness and PCM?

yea, im talking the complete dropout with the accessories, intake, etc.. just like if you undid the motor mount bolts, trans crossmember, and yanked it out.
everything attached.

i forgot about the harness... the harness is a plug and play setup for a thirdgen fbody.... i'll probably have to sell that seperately... i can sell the ECM with it of course.

looking at the slavage yard prices, ls1/t56 with higher mileage go for btwn $2400-$3500.
of course there are some outliers

Got just my ls1 with harness, computer and all accessories. had cracked timing cover and oil pan also the corner oil pan bolt hole was broken. 60k on 99 fbody engine for $710. No transmisison just using my race ready th400. Had to swap the oil pan and remove the timing cover to put the cam in anyway so really was no loss to me, just a little extra rtv around the damaged bolt hole.

Engine with accessories I'd say 2000-2500 and trans is 1000-1500 depending on what you get with it. As in how many of the pieces are missing which doesn't sound like any in your case
