ls1 mounts for 2nd gen f-body
just ordered the brp ls1 t-56 mount kit and would like to know what all you haft to do to the trans tunnel for the trans to fit. brp had a few diff opinions but would like to know what some others are doing. and they also said that if you use the autocraft oil pan that you can use the stock a/c compressor in the factory position with no mods due to the fact that it moves the engine
forward 3in and would like to know the website if anyone would know anything about this oil pan or maybe someone that has used it thanks for all the help

Oil pans don't move engines anywhere..... They allow you to move the engine forward because their sump is placed further back towards the flywheel. I have no knowledge if the Autocraft pan does that, but that's the only way you could move an engine that far forward.
If you decide to move the engine forward, then you can't use the factory bolt holes in the subframe for the frame mounts. No big deal, just another thing to consider.

if you move the engine that far forward that you dont have to notch the frame for the ac, then you'de better make sure you have enough clearance between the water pump and the radiator/fans. besides moving forward is not the way you want to go for front/rear balance. i just pushed mine as far back as possible and notched/boxed the frame for the ac.
