LS7 throwing belts
Our LS7 conversion using all Corvette LS7 accessory drive parts except A/C is throwing belts. With our belt tensioner in the middle of the range it tosses the belt when you flog on it. The first belt lasted a while but we have tossed two very quickly now. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Make a little metal "L" shaped bracket that rests slightly above the belt. Doesn't matter where, just where ever it fits and the problem will be solved.

ive never had any experience with this situation, but im under the impression that katech makes a tensioner that will help.

Since you're using all LS7 accessories and drive, you may be interested to know that GM made a change to the alternator that allows it to free-spin on decel - a one way clutch on the hub. The alternator has a lot of mass and when the throttle is snapped shut at 7k rpm, some people were throwing belts. There's some talk about this on CorvetteForum.
