Hi
I have a pull out from a 2004 escalade.The engine is a 5.3 and came with the harness.Is the harness the same as a regular truck?I did a search and came up confused.I also need a computer for the harness.What years are compatble?I will be changing to throttle cable.

From the wiring diagrams I have the 2004 Escalade looks to be the same as a 2004 Chevrolet 1500. As for the computer, I'm not sure on that, but I believe that 2002 was the last year for the cable throttle body, so I don't know if you would have to use the 2002 pcm or not. Maybe someone else has done that and will let you know. Good luck, Eric

I went shopping for parts today,What year oxygen sensors will work with the harness?The 04 sensors are really expensive compared to the 99's

if you are changing to a throttle cable you will need a harness from a 99-2000 truck or a 99-02 f-body ls1 harness and you will need a 986 or a 411 pcm either will work, you need 02 sensors for the harness you get, you can find these for $30-40 for the 99-02 ls1 front o2 sensors(they will work on either harness), and you can have the rear o2 sensors tuned out of the pcm along with whatever else you do not plan on using for emissions on the swap and the vats/security will need to be turned off in the pcm

I have an 04 out of a silverado. I'm told any computer from that year truck can be programed to the express van with a throttle cable. You will need to repin the drive by wire to match the express vans pins (do a search on computer pin outs) and add the tps and idle air valve. I have not actually done this myself but I found a few post where people have said it works fine. good luck
